Thanksgiving Spirit

Bright skies, stay close to me
And appetite, please never leave my side
Glass glossy foremen can take the lead
I'll re-extend my wings and glide on right behind

I'd carve your face in the pumpkin of my heart
But my knife broke I tried carving mine out too
Yet still, my eyes flutter Thanksgiving spirit
Whenever I try my very best to repay you

Windy gusts of minty clouds fill my head
Autumn leaves fill the skies and streets with beautiful colors
Heaven knows how I can fight all this dread inside
Maybe it's how we're revealing so many uncovered wonders

I'd stuff your face in the turkey of my heart
But it could use some work and a whole lot of glue
Yet still, my eyes sparkle with Thanksgiving spirit
Whenever I try my very best to repay you

Strolling through all the November roads
I feel like a butterfly unafraid of the dark
The fireplace roared with a passionate joy
And the laughter of my dear self ignited a spark

I'd carve your face in the pumpkin of my heart
But I guess I'll try again when my skills rise anew
And still, my eyes flutter with Thanksgiving spirit
Whenever I do my very best to repay you

I'd rather waltz than just walk through the forest
The trees keep the tempo and they sway in time
Quartet of crickets chime in for the chorus
If I were to pluck on your heartstrings, would you strum on mine?

The Thanksgiving spirit cleans up all the ashes
When I, with all of my heart, do my best to repay you.
