The Real Me
Enter the outdoors to a world of people everywhere
But it's lacking me, because I am too scared
A giant world
With this feeble me
Clinging onto
This little leaf
I'm staying inside because I don't need a say
My endless solitude should be enough to bear
For the great outdoors I so greatly fear
A sight unseen
No masterpiece
I see the lands
Of dreams released
This song is for somebody else to play
Not ready to open up your eyes
Not willing to set fire to the skies
Not prepared to unleash upon the lies
Not adept enough to show the world my dreams
Not unlocking my door
Not going to soar
Not teaching anyone what to strive for
Not able to reveal to them the real me
See how they laugh, see how they dream
See how their eyes so brightly gleam
The stars are beckoning
Never regretting or retracing
But I'm left to wander
Only where I've been
I haven't the power to burst through the seams
Not ready to open up your eyes
Not willing to set fire to the skies
Not prepared to unleash upon the lies
Not adept enough to show the world my dreams
Not unlocking my door
Not going to soar
Not teaching anyone what to strive for
Not able to reveal to them the real me
Not ready to open up your eyes
Not willing to set fire to the skies
Not prepared to unleash upon the lies
Not adept enough to show the world my dreams
Not unlocking my door
Not going to soar
Not leaving because I don't know anymore
Not going to reveal to them the real me
Not dead, but they'll never know the real me...
Close your eyes and never realize the real me...
Even I've forgotten who was the real me...
